About ComedySportz
The National Comedy Theatre, San Jose is proud to be the Northern California Bay Area home of ComedySportz, a competitive, team improvisational comedy, played just like a sport. Every performance, two teams of improv combatants go head to head competing for audience approval. It's a comedy competition where the audience is always the winner.

Throughout the show, the two teams play a variety of improvisational games all based on suggestions from the audience. The audience also might have a chance to pick games, call fouls, volunteer for a variety of tasks and ultimately decides which team is the evening's winner. And, best of all, it's clean!

During our ComedySportz performances, audience members often
have a chance to volunteer and perform in scenes or games with our actletes.

ComedySportz is the leader in Bay Area improv comedy, providing improvisational theatre to audiences from the San Francisco South Bay area and Silicon Valley including San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Milpitas, Fremont, Union City and Cupertino.

Since 1987, we've entertained thousands at our home shows, as well as hundreds of corporations, schools, churches and synagogues. We've also performed outside of the Bay Area in Nevada, Utah, Hawaii, Colorado and various Club Med locations around the world. In 2001, we celebrated our 3000th show performed at the theatre in Santa Clara, California. In addition to San Jose, there are National Comedy Theatre affiliated clubs across the USA.
